Catherine Chardin writes of the new cosmic couple. The embodied female holds within her a divine masculine. The embodied male holds within himself a divine feminine. The cosmic coupling begins when the man recognizes the divine masculine (the initiating energy, the logos) in the woman with his receptive feminine. He receives her logos; he encourages and loves her for her power.

This triggers in the evolutionary woman such deep love and gratitude for her partner, that she falls in love with his essential creativity, his feminine side. (Of course these divisions between feminine and masculine are symbolic and not definitive.) She wants to nurture in him that creative essence that may not have come forth in the competitive, combative masculine world. In this evolutionary love affair, she can express her power without aggression, and he can nurture her without fear of emasculation or the need to be a dominator. Together they complete each other.
